Director of State and Local Tax ~ Phoenix, Arizona

This role requires a CPA and current public accounting experience in developing a SALT practice

Qualifications:
§ Managerial experience with a professional services firm
§ 7 or more years of public accounting experience providing state and local tax consulting services
§ Experience selling professional services in a public accounting or tax consulting firm
§ Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other business related field required
§ CPA or JD preferred§ Broad exposure to state and local taxation§ Excellent written and verbal communication and tax research skills
§ Ability to think strategically and assist in the organization and management of a tax practice
§ Adept at marketing and selling tax services at the most senior levels of organizations
§ Demonstrates the ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES/QUALITIES
• Demonstrates competencies in client focus, relationship management, communication, flexibility and development of personnel
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow associates, clients and external business partners
